Vladimir Grigorov aka Sandal Wood is born in Sofia, Bulgaria, but over the last five years, traveling trough Europe, also because of his studies in South Germany and South Sweden, was the main line, shaping his live and experiences. His first contact with electronic music was in the middle of the nineties with artists like Future Sound of London, Sven Vaeth, Amon Tobin, later he found his inner piece in the psychedelic and progressive sounds. Nowadays being active as a dj and promoter in the scene has become not only a hobby, but a way of living, a realization of a dream. He is totally devoted to the gathering of tunes, always searching for better and better ones, improvement of his technical skills and recreation through the mixes of whole stories of emotional landscapes touching the boundaries between body and mind. As organizer, he formed together in 2003 with his friend Ani a project called Solros (the name comes from Swedish and means sunflower) under which they made two parties (Temple of Imagination and Celestial Journey) and co-organized some events, among them the Bulgarian edition of the Global Festival for Peace Earthdance, started in 2003 together with Magrathea. After helping for many years for their events, in 2005 Sandal Wood become member of Magrathea.

Sandal Wood's music palette is quite rich, amalgamating these days many influences from different styles like progressive trance& house, electro, breakbeat, techno, techhouse, melted together in a psychedelic framework. It is a fusion of pumping grooves, tribal percussions, deep bass lines and hypnotic synths.
His gigs are influenced by artists like Antix, Andre Absolut, Fitalic, Freq, Greed, Kliment, Phony Orphants, Ticon, Sun Control Species, Son Kite, Brisker & Magitman, D-Nox & Beckers, Kasey Taylor, Minilogue, Vibrasphere, Thomas Penton and many more and labels like Iboga, Digital Structures, Flow, Domo, Tribal Vision, Plusquam, Plastik park, Sprout, Vapour, Spiral trax (R.I.P.), ACDC, Midijum, Groove zone, Sog, Avalanche, Babylon, Baroque, Groove Control, Turbo Trance, Neurobiotic, Nano.
